Product Update: New Pledge Aggregated Data Tables in Charity Automator Data Warehouse

SimpliPhi is excited to announce the launch of two new prepared data tables in the Charity Automator Data Warehouse: the Pledge Balance Report and the Pledge Installment Schedule.

These additions are designed to help nonprofits track, manage, and report on major gifts more efficiently without heavy Power BI modeling or custom SQL queries.

What Are Pledge Data Tables?

Tracking pledges accurately is critical for revenue forecasting, campaign planning, and stewardship. These new data tables simplify pledge reporting by doing the heavy lifting inside the Charity Automator Data Warehouse.

Both tables are powered by SQL scripts that run inside our infrastructure and calculate fields using live data from your Raiser’s Edge NXT instance. These data tables build on our growing library of calculated fields, first introduced in our Lifetime Giving Summary table. They reflect our core commitment to providing timely, accurate, and complete data for our nonprofit clients. This is part of our ongoing strategy to move nonprofits toward smart, pre-analyzed data.

Pledge Balance Report

The Pledge Balance Report offers a high-level view of where constituents stand on their pledged contributions — including how much was promised, how much is still outstanding, and whether they're on track. It’s particularly valuable for fundraising and finance teams managing major gifts and forecasting incoming revenue.

Pledge Installment Schedule

The Pledge Installment Schedule breaks down every individual payment. This table mirrors the "Pledge Schedule" window inside Raiser’s Edge NXT — a request we heard from multiple clients who wanted this level of detail in their BI tools, not just inside their CRM.

Fundraisers and analysts can now track every installment’s due date, amount, and outstanding balance with greater precision.

Why It Matters

Before this update, tracking pledge performance meant:

  • Writing complex SQL queries
  • Building intricate Power BI models
  • Exporting raw data to spreadsheets just to create installment-level reports

Now, our clients get ready-to-use tables that can plug directly into their dashboards.

This update was driven by direct feedback from two of our clients (CAMH: The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and NYGF: North York General Foundation) who needed installment-level data outside of Raiser’s Edge NXT for better dashboarding and cross-system visibility. We’re exploring additional prepared tables for recurring gift summaries, and welcome suggestions from clients.
